Roman Dembinski, graduated from the University of Technology in Łódź, Poland with engineering degree in Chemistry. He obtained his Ph.D. at the Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. After a postdoctoral appointment with J.A. Gladysz he joined Oakland University, Michigan, USA, where he is currently at the rank of Professor and past Chair of the Department of Chemistry. His scientific interests include synthetic organic, medicinal, fluorine, and organometallic chemistry.
